India’s first Digital science park will be set up in Kerala. Our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for India’s first digital science park. The Digital science park will come up in Trivandrum the capital of Kerala. The 1500 crore Digital science park project is going to be set up on around 14 acres of land near the Kerala University of Digital science innovation and Technology. It is expected that the project will be completed within 2 years. The chief minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan, Union railway minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Shashi Tharoor MP of Trivandrum, and several other political leaders attended this event.
What will be the major features and facilities of India’s first digital science park?
This Digital park project is mainly focused on digital technologies, and also it will focus on other sectors such as Robotics, Artificial intelligence, electronics, and a lot more. India’s first digital science park will be equipped with several advanced labs such as integrated sensor labs, energy labs, and robotic labs, and also there will be several labs for software development, cybersecurity, informatics, etc. This digital science park will also focus on Advanced electronic systems such as VLSI. ARM a UK-based IT organization has signed an agreement with the Digital University of Kerala on academic research. It has been said that there will be several other IT companies are planning to a part of India’s first Digital science park.
What would be the construction cost of India’s first digital science park?
The construction cost of the digital science park project will be up to 1515 crore. In which the 200 crore is provided by the Kerala government and the rest will be generated with the help of the industrial partners. This third-generation science park will be really useful for the development of the digital sector. It is said that this digital science park will consist of two buildings with an area of 2 lakh square feet.
The operation of the park will start in the Kabani building which is in the technopark phase 4. This project will also pave the way for advanced learning in science and technology. India’s first digital science park will be really useful for economic and technological growth.
